On Schoolzine Week 4 Term 4 2021
As COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease the College is pleased to announce we will be able to proceed with a modified Orientation Days for Kindergarten and Year 7.
We look forward to welcoming all students who have been enrolled for 2022 into the College.
Our Orientation Days will be held as follows:
Year 7 (commencing 2022)
Wednesday 24 November 2021 - 9:00am to 3:20pm
Students should wear their primary sports uniform and runners. Bring a pencil case, recess, lunch, drink and a hat.
Kindergarten (commencing 2022)
Day 1 Thursday, 2 December 2021 – 9:00am to 11:00am
Day 2 Thursday, 9 December 2021 – 9:00am to 11:00am
Children attend all days and wear comfortable clothes and runners,
bring a drink & hat.

COVID-19 restrictions apply and at this stage parent/carer access to the College is restricted on our Orientation Days. Should these restrictions change parents/carers will be notified as soon as possible.

The next Lumen Christi Community Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 4 November at 4:00pm and will be an open meeting for the Lumen community.
As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, the meeting will be held virtually and open for community members who would like to join.
The Community Council normally meets twice per term and conducts an open meeting each Semester to provide families with an insight into the role and conduct of the Council. The Community Council works with the Principal and staff, Father Palé and the wider school community in both decision-making and advisory roles. Please register your interest in joining the meeting by emailing Barb Gough at the College - barb.gough@cg.catholic.edu.au before Friday, 28 October, 2021. You will then be sent a link to join a Teams meeting.

This survey aims to help schools better support student wellbeing and to give students more voice and agency in their learning communities.
Students in Year 5, 6 and Year 9 PBL Semester 2 have been invited to participate.

ATTACHMENT: Wellbeing for Learning Parent/Guardian Consent
Due to remote learning in Term 3 and ongoing restrictions we have unfortunately not been able to hold our Semester 2 Parent Student Teacher (PST) evening this year.
In recognition of this we are offering another round of Parent, Student and Teacher Interviews in Term 4. These will take place in Week 6 on Tuesday, 9 November 2021 from 3:50pm to 7:00pm and will be conducted by video conference via Microsoft teams.
The interviews will provide an opportunity for students to share their learning and achievements at school this year, review goals set and plan for the rest of the year and beyond.
When does the PST Booking Portal Open and Close?
Bookings are now open and can be made up until Sunday, 7 November 2021 at 3:45pm.
How to Book Your PST Meeting
- Use this link (https://bit.ly/3GiI790) or the Microsoft Teams BOOK PST INTERVIEW button below to open the Microsoft Teams booking portal.
- Select your child's Teacher and the preferred date of interview
- The list of available times will be displayed
- Select your preferred time and fill in your details.
- Click the "Book" button
- You will be emailed a confirmation of your booking with a link for the meeting.
What happens after I've made my booking?
- You should receive a reminder email before the meeting.
- On the day of your PST meeting you will just need to click on the link to open the meeting.
What if I can't attend my PST Meeting?
If you are unable to attend your scheduled meeting please let your child's teacher know so the meeting time can be reallocated.
If the date of Tuesday, 9 November 2021 is not convenient, but you would still like to have a PST interview please contact your child’s teacher directly to make alternative arrangements.

NSW Health have advised a new date of Tuesday, 30 November 2021.
Parents/carers who do not wish their child to be immunised on Tuesday, 30 November 2021 should email Mary Hourigan at Bega Community Health at the following email address mary.hourigan@health.nsw.gov.au
Any previous withdrawal advice made by parents/carers is now invalid and a new withdrawal advice will be required. Again, please email this advice directly to mary.hourigan@health.nsw.gov.au
If you child missed out on their first HPV immunisation and you would like to catch up please contact Mary Hourigan or make an appointment by telephoning (02) 6491 9816. HPV Immunisations can also be administered by your GP.
