The Catholic Education Commission endorsed the establishment of a Working Group to review various aspects of Archdiocesan School Board and Community Council models.
During the course of this year the Working Group has engaged in targeted consultation with internal stakeholders and has had some preliminary discussions with a narrow group of external stakeholders, including representatives from the Catholic School Parents Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn.
The Working Group is now seeking to draw on the experiences, expertise and perspectives of parents and carers, school staff and members of school communities through a process of general consultation. To this end, an Issues Paper has been drafted outlining the key issues that the Working Group has identified to date, and posing a number of discussion questions that the Working Group is seeking responses to.
To submit a response to the questions posed in the Issues Paper please go to the following Link . The closing date for submissions is 2 September 2022.
If you have any questions about the Review, please contact Sarah Meier, General Counsel and Governance, Risk and Policy Manager via email sarah.meier@cg.catholic.edu.au or by telephone 0433 997 077.

Cross Country News
A HUGE congratulations to Year 10 student JACK CALDWELL who has been named in the NSW CROSS COUNTRY TEAM to compete at the AUSTRALIAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022 in Adelaide on Saturday 27th August. We wish Jack all the best.
Southern Region Athletics results:
A HUGE congratulations to Ava Whitby who was awarded Age Champion in the 12 year girls.
Thank you to our secondary helpers who ran events on the day and to Mr Thompson, Miss Jenkins, Mrs De Borre, and Tyra-Lee Palmer for taking the students.
Jump Rope for Heart:
We are excited to announce that Lumen Christi Primary students are participating in Jump Rope for Heart this year – a fantastic fundraising and physical activity program by the Heart Foundation.
By participating in Jump Rope for Heart this term, we are expecting to get our students moving. We’ll have ropes available on the school grounds and encouraging everyone to help raise funds for lifesaving research and support programs.
Over the coming weeks your child will learn new skills, increase their physical activity, and learn about heart health. And the program will end with our school wide ‘Jump Off Day’ on Friday 9 September where your child gets to show off their new skipping skills to their friends.
When you register your child online you’ll get access to additional skipping resources to help give your child a great reason to get away from the screens and get outdoors. Register and create your own secure webpage at jumprope.org.au/parents
Students are most welcome to borrow skipping ropes as well
PDHPE Year 10 Mock Interviews:
Our Year 10 students have completed a unit on ‘Careers’. They learnt how to look for jobs, write an application letter and resume` and then participated in a mock interview. These interviews were conducted by members of The Rotary Club of Pambula and Merimbula. A big thank you to the Rotarians for providing the students with these life skills.
Snowpsorts:
We wish our Snowsports team all the best at the State Interschools snowsports Championships at Perisher on Monday 22-Thirsday 25 August.
Archdiocesan Athletics Canberra 23 August
