Dear Parents and Carers
Wear something orange on Monday, 21 March 2022 to support diversity and belonging.
Students may wear comfortable, appropriate clothing for this fundraiser with something orange to promote and celebrate Harmony Day. Covered footwear must be worn.
Any student who wears mufti is expected to also make a gold coin donation to support the work of Caritas in Australia and overseas.

At the end of last year, we spoke about looking forward to a more inclusive, connected year and it looks as though the steadily easing COVID restrictions will allow us to do just that, with plans for informal catch-ups and possibly movie nights in the works.
To get the ball rolling, parents of Year 7 students may have seen an invite to an informal dinner at the Sapphire Club on Wednesday, 23 March which coincides with the Year 7 camp. We hope to see you there! Please RSVP to: Antoinette.Woods@cg.caholic.edu.au
The Community Council met for the first time this year on 24 February, 2022.
At the meeting, Principal Shane Giles celebrated the first large assemblies the school has been able to hold for some time. There is a sense that this is the beginning of a return to community engagement with further plans to follow. This year has also seen the launch of Shining Lights, where the College staff are publishing some of their insights and cultural messages.
Treasurer Kevin Kelly gave an update on the progress of the College’s Building Master Plan, which included a focus on upgrading the Science and TAS blocks and creating more general learning spaces. A smaller, more immediate, project is the creation of a covered outdoor area in the Vegie Garden. Work is due to start on this over the next holiday break.
Further information on the Community Council can be found on the College website under “Our College”. Any correspondence should be forwarded to the College for the attention of the Community Council.

Dear Parents and Carers
Last week we sent out an information/consent request for Year 5 and 6 Visit to Canberra.
There has been some confusion as to eligibility of students for this excursion. All Year 5 and 6 students are expected to attend this excursion. Your child does not to be selected in order to participate (as previously advised).
Just in case you missed the initial message and haven't yet provided your consent yet, we've attached the information/consent note below.
