What's on at UNSW?
NSW Health offers the vaccines recommended for adolescents by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) in a school-based vaccination program. The 2022 Year 10 Meningococcall Vaccination Program will be conducted at Lumen Christi by NSW Health staff on Tuesday, 5 April 2022.
Parent information kits ncluding consent cards will be sent home with Year 10 students on Friday, 11 March 2022.
Please ensure:
- Consent cards are completed and signed by a parent/legal guardian in blue or black ink.
- Consent cards are returned to the College drop box before immunisation day.
- Your child has breakfast on vaccination day.
- Your child wears their sports uniform to assist nurses with administering the vaccination.
Students who do not present vaccination forms on immunisation day will need to make alternative vaccination arrangements either via their GP or Bega Community Health Centre by phoning Mary Hourigan on (02) 6491 9816.
Post vaccination, students will be given a record of the vaccination to take home. Parents are to remind students of the importance of these records as students may need to show it prior to commencing work experience, travel or work.

Dear Parents and Carers
Sapphire Coast Buslines have asked us to forward the following information to parents and carers:
"Please be aware that it currently remains mandatory on school buses and public transport to wear masks.
Students 12 years and older, staff and public passengers must always wear masks on the bus unless they are exempt to do so.
To assist the drivers we would appreciate you taking the time to remind your child that there are enforceable police penalties in place for failing to comply with this health order.
More information can be found at the following links
Please ensure that your child has a mask for their bus trip tomorrow and chooses to wear it. Our priority is your child’s safety and that of the drivers and we appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Regards – Sapphire Coast Buslines."
If you require any clarification on any of the above please feel free to contact Sapphire Coast Buslines on 6495 6452.
