Term 1 Opportunities for Collaboration
We are committed to fostering a positive and respectful partnership with both students and parents to ensure that every student receives the appropriate support for their learning and well-being. Below are some of the opportunities for us to collaborate with you this term:
Students in Yr 7 have completed Progressive Achievement Tests in Reading and Maths this week, with results to be shared on the students’ IHUM Google Classroom class by the end of next week. Students in Yrs 2-10 will complete these tests in Term 2 and again in Term 4, as one form of evidence of student growth. These tests are online and adaptive to allow students to experience both successes and challenges and we can access student results immediately.
From 12-24 March, students in Yrs 3, 5, 7 and 9 will sit four NAPLAN tests (Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language and Numeracy). There will be a NAPLAN Familiarisation experience on Monday, 3 March to ensure students have the lock down browser installed on their devices. Further information will be sent out closer to the time about Lumen Christi's processes for provisions, withdrawals and exemptions. Here is some general information: https://www.nsw.gov.au/education-and-training/nesa/naplan/naplan-for-parents-carers
Primary Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 19 and Thursday, 20 March. Bookings can be made via SENTRAL from 9:00am Monday, 3 March to 3.30pm Friday, 14 March. Interviews are 10 minutes in length. More information will be sent out closer to the time.
Yr 12 Half Yearly Reports and Yrs 7-10 Interim Reports will be sent home via SENTRAL on the students’ last day of term, Thursday, 10 April. These provide insights into each students’ academic progress and learning attitudes/behaviours.
Yr 11 Half Yearly Reports and Secondary Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews will be in early Term 2, providing a great opportunity for collaboration between home and school, as we work together to support each person's learning journey.
